Allow yourself to dream with God for a moment: What would Humboldt and Eureka look like if the thoughts and feelings of Godʼs heart were the thoughts and feelings of our hearts? Imagine a place where generosity abounds in the marketplace and the church, and poverty was non-existent. A place where hospitals were no longer necessary and mental illness did not exist. Where all people were valued as oneʼs created in Godʼs image and our government truly served the people from a God-inspired and life-honoring value system. What could our education system do if each child were cherished the way Jesus intended, and behavioral issues disappeared. Imagine our arts and entertainment industry highlighting life, hope and love, broadening our vision and encouraging us to believe the impossible once again. Can you picture the church actually fulfilling its purpose: loving God and one another, healing the sick and raising the dead, sharing the life of Christ and the hope of salvation? And what would happen if we laid down our drive for self-preservation (both corporately and individually) and were more concerned about the success of others than our own?
